As part of Rock School your child will learn how to work as part of a team, communicate effectively with others and develop confidence. There is lots of evidence linking learning a musical instrument to improved performance in both literacy and numeracy. It’s also a great way for your child to get to know other musical children, have fun and learn in a safe environment.
Teaching will be tailored to the age and ability of your child – they don’t need to be learning a musical instrument already, but if they do, tuition takes this into account. They will also work closely with other children, learning from each other as well as from the teacher.
Pupils will have access to state-of-the-art 'JamPod' equipment, connecting keyboard sythesisers, guitars and drums together via headphones and a modern studio set up, giving children valuable experience of professional rehearsal and performance environments. Experts from our Rock School Team will provide specialist tuition and support them in songwriting and forming bands, as well as helping them hone their instrumental skills and prepare them for live performance and gigs. No background experience necessary and children of any musical ability are welcome.
